Fran Bartlett Receives Human Relations Award
At its annual Human Relations Awards Dinner on March 19, the Carroll County Human Relations Commission gave Fran Bartlett its prestigious Human Relations Award for her promotion of human and civil rights in the Carroll County area. Fran has been active with Carroll Citizens for Racial Equality for 10 years where she writes book reviews for the newsletter and helps with Diversity Days for middle school children. She has been motivated to work for racial equality since she attended a conference in 1948 at Morgan State University where she was the only white person in attendance.
